You will find La Butte de Launay in the hamlet of Launay , on the D214, 3km from the D751 at Chênehutte (direction Doué La Fontaine), between Saumur and Gennes.

Directions to La Butte de Launay from Le Mans A11

1. Take the A85 direction Saumur/Tours
2. Take Exit 1 Beaufort en Vallée (Automatic pay station!)
3. After Pay Station turn left direction Beaufort en Vallée (D144)
4. Stay on D144 around Beaufort en Vallée
5. You cross straight over the roundabout for the N147 Angers-Saumur
6. At roundabout take D59 Les Rosiers sur Loire
7. At Les Rosiers sur Loire follow direction Gennes – You cross the bridge over the Loire
8. In Gennes take D751 direction Saumur (following the south bank of the Loire)
9. Keep going (You pass through Cunault, Trèves, and Chênehutte)
10. At Chênehutte you will see the Town Hall on your right, and a bit further on the bar/restaurant Le Futreau on your right, and a Parking area on your left
11. Turn right just after the Parking towards Forges/Doué La Fontaine (D214)
12. After 3km you will arrive in the hamlet of Launay – Make sure you stay on the main road towards Doue La Fontaine, as there are lots of bends and turnings off.
13. You pass several houses on your left, and a big vegetable garden on your right,
14. La Butte de Launay is several metres further on your left – Driveway is grey gravel.
15. Drive up 100m to the house round the right-hand bend.

Directions to La Butte de Launay from Saumur and A85 Tours

1. From Tours take exit 3 Saumur off the A85
2. Follow signs Saumur Centre Ville
3. Cross the Pont du Cadre Noir (being currently widened)
4. Take 1st exit marked Centre Ville.
5. Descend slip road to roundabout.
6. Take 2nd exit to Saint Hilaire-Saint Florent, also marked Gennes, and Ecole Nat. d’Equitation.
7. After a few metres you arrive at another small roundabout
8. Take 1st exit to Gennes
9. Follow this road straight alongside the Loire for about 8km
10. You then arrive in Chenehutte.
11. Turn left to Forges and Doue La Fontaine just before the Parking area on right, at entry to village
12. Follow this road for approx 3km out of residential area into country
13. MAKE SURE YOU STAY ON THE MAIN ROAD, THERE ARE LOTS OF TURNS AND BENDS.
14. After 3km you will arrive in the hamlet of Launay
